Align the camera and external macro lens. Keep the complete code inside the box with a little space around it. Adjust distance, light intensity and filter angle until individual cells are visible.

Lens model, magnification and working distance should be recorded in setup notes. Try a photo if the live view lacks detail. Camera controls appear only when supported.
